A Michigan native, Chassar began cooking professionally in Nashville, where he trained at Husk under Sean Brock and Brian Baxter and later refined his technique at The Catbird Seat. He moved to Atlanta in 2019 to join Red Beard Restaurants, where his thoughtful approach and dedication to craft quickly earned recognition.
In 2024, Restaurant Informer named him a Rising Star in Atlanta’s restaurant industry. Today, Chassar continues to evolve Gunshow’s reputation as a MICHELIN-recommended restaurant, balancing precision and innovation while building a kitchen culture rooted in teamwork and a deep respect for ingredients.
